Interesting Things, So-Called Black Holes

There’s been all kinds of notions flying around in science circles about these strange regions of space where light seems to be unable to escape and thus the name “black hole” is applied. The idea is that as a star “dies” it condenses into a mass of neutrons and exerts a gravitational pull so powerful that photons or light producing “particles” are unable to escape making them invisible. This is an interesting theory especially when combined with the thought that all galaxies may have one of these “black holes” at their cores. Of course, as I’ve already pointed out, all massive bodies should theoretically be hollow and have zero gravity at their cores. Remember, that at the core of these bodies the mass that creates the gravity is surrounding the core equally and thus cancelling out the gravitation field. This will also hold true for even theoretical ultra massive and dense bodies like those theorized “neutron stars”. So, as these “black holes” would consume all the matter within the powerful gravitational pull, the zero gravity core should make the whole system far more complex and problematic. I would support the idea that each galaxy has a region at it’s core…

After This

I saw a movie recently that was all about supposed experiences of people who have somehow come back from “near death”. They tell of waking up in a heavenly place or find themselves floating above their body looking down and so forth.  But, in none of these has the person actually experienced death where the bodily functions have stopped, their skin turned black, rigor-mortis has set in and decay has begun. The kind of death experienced by Lazarus in the Bible whom Jesus raised back to life. These are stories claimed by people who have lost consciousness from coma or trauma of some sort for a brief period. Some say that there are departed people with them that they converse with or are spoke to by. It makes me wonder if some of those that do die will experience a brief taste of heaven prior to their being called to stand before our Creator for His judgment.  Those that die in their sins will be judged and condemned. Before the Lord’s great white throne they will be bound “weeping and gnashing their teeth” and cast into the lake of fire in front of everyone. Those that have been washed clean…

The Wrecking Ball

If you wanted to take a wrecking ball to science, how would you go about it? No matter how I would do it, by reason, by expose’, by ridicule, by telling of the real majesty and mystery of our Creator’s engineering tour de force, it will always boil down to God’s Word revealing the truth to every mind and heart. Jesus Christ came to open our eyes to the truth. Science was promoted by Tom Huxley as a way to substitute the truth with man’s notions. The core of modern science rests on bogus notion of “common descent” and the spontaneous creation of all the genetic information within the “genomes” of some 1 million or so known species of creatures that exist or have existed here on earth. Intelligent design sets out to inform us of the more blatant examples of the ways evolution explains nothing but our own stupidity. “The God of the gaps” they retort… But, they fail to realize that the gaps are all we’ve got. I watched the movie about Hawk’s life and was amazed at how selfish and egotistical a man could be. But when you really begin to forget about the truth of our being…

Man’s Greatest Achievements?

How many heroes are there nowadays? They come in all shapes and forms. Some are living some are dead. But, what are they really? Are they more imagined then real? Actors, musicians, athletes, politicians, preachers, even rebels, outlaws, dogs and cats can become our “heroes”. Yet, the scriptures teach that, “man at his very best is altogether vanity”. So, why do we celebrate people with such intensity and obsession? Is it because we are driven to devotion and we need heroes to bring some hope into our lives that otherwise is missing, or nonexistent? Is it because we aspire to be popular, needing others to love us so that we too can feel valued and appreciated? When I decided to follow Jesus back in 75′ it was the beginning of the end for all my heroes. Our Creator began opening my eyes and understanding to reality and the fact that my great heroes were just human beings like myself. One of my favorite songs goes, “On Christ the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand…” It’s one of the most profound verses ever written. Why, because it summarizes what truly is the height of human achievement and…

Entitlements and Vain Things

What happens when you bring science into the Christian Church? Well for one thing you’ll get something referred to as a “theologian”, or a person who is considered a religious expert. One of those fellers from a while back had trouble with understanding a simple word, namely, “predestination” and thought it meant, “predetermination”. He supposed that there were folks determined by the Creator for hell and those determined for heaven. This false understanding of the Biblical concept of “predestination” has taken the “evangelical” Christian world by storm. In this new amalgamation of the doctrine of “predestination” if someone “ask’s Jesus into their heart” as they put it, they will have sealed their “destiny” as a future citizen of God’s kingdom. As these theologians and preachers tell us, “if you genuinely ask Jesus into your heart”, you are now “eternally secure” and can never lose your salvation. So, what they are saying is that salvation becomes an entitlement for anyone who sincerely asks Jesus into their heart. They argue that if the Bible says we have eternal life when we ask Jesus into our heart, it wouldn’t be eternal if we could lose our salvation. It really comes back to what…

The Lies of Science and the Human Condition

Should we really be surprised that violence is becoming more and more prevalent around the world? This abomination we call, “science”, is turning more a more people away from The God who put us all here. As the teachings of science continue to pour out over humanity like a pyroclastic flow over the souls of people scorching their consciences with contempt for “creationism” and anything that sounds like it and painting godly people as fools, should it come as a surprise that some of those people will actually believe that these “educators” are telling the truth. For a long time I also was sucked into that mess and it wasn’t because I was wanting to know the truth, rather it was because I was careless with trust. I gave merit to the notion that men could understand the things created by Someone far greater than all of us. It really is impossible to comprehend living creatures based on just what we can see and examine. The complexity and richness of all living things goes way beyond the physical. To begin to really understand living things you must always start with an understanding of their Maker. Science not only bypasses this…

What a Wonderful World!

When you really begin to look at the universe around us as the fantastic engineering marvel that it all is (and it IS!) you will begin to see man’s engineering achievements for what they are, very humble at best. Even matter itself is a feat of engineering beyond comprehension or even imagination! It appears that 3 basic entities of the minutist scale are combined with a vast number of variations in a precise way that can be combined to produce things from dust particles to neutron stars and galaxies. The more we learn about His fantastically glorious engineering by the God of the Universe who has allowed us to approach Him thru Jesus and actually speak to Him and learn from Him, the more of a huge privalege it is to be a part of His creation! I can assure you that He takes a very personal interest in each of us. The Lord Jesus said that a sparrow is sold for very little money and yet none of them falls without its Creator’s (the Father) knowledge. So, He continues saying, How much more valuable are you? We get all up in the air about a species’ extinction and yet we…

Making a Difference

Somehow we need to show the world that science is the silly human nonesense that it is. This will only happen as we who understand that this is so, speak up. This blog has been my way of doing so for the past 8 years or so. Actually, this blog sort of chronicles my own transition from a strong faith in science along side my Christian faith to a realization of just how much of a problem science really is for humanity. At one time I actually thought that scientists and intellectuals were adamant against Christianity because they were ignorant of the wealth of criticism of Darwin’s theory that is out there from Creationists and other critics of evolution. Now I know the truth about the fact that so many die hard evolutionists know the creationist arguments quite well. Well at least the way they learn about them is often 3rd hand from collegues and the media and book reviews, etc.  Oh, how many times have I heard the lame excuses like, “they also say the earth is 5,000 years old”, or “those people don’t really understand evolution”, and such. I have no idea how old the earth is- and…

Our Creator as Engineer

Science has been of little real use to humanity. With all of the revelations that have come to light about the awesome engineering that has gone into living things that are all around us, there is almost no credit given to the actual Designer and Sustainer of each and every one. There’s a huge wealth of engineering invested in all the creatures on this planet that we share. The world of science is a world of dry bones, clouds without rain, trees without fruit… I’ve learned to take everything that comes out of it as hopelessly warped and misleading. Giving credit for the universe and everything in it to the wild fantasy that spontaneous generation is. If you have any fondness for reality as I do, let’s examine living things in the light of the actual Engineer behind them. Someone that is actually capable of such wonderful things, such feats of design and integration, beauty and efficiency and the accolades could go on infinitely… (“consider the ant and be wise” the scripture says). How about the beaver? An amazing clever fellow in his own right! They can fell trees all day long with 4 little teeth, dine on the bark and assemble them into…

Morality and Democracy

I’ll be 61 years old in a few days. Yet, I can still remember a few of the lessons I learned in college. One in particular from sociology had to do with the concept of right and wrong only the term used was “more’”. No, it’s not the word we use for increase or a kind of mushroom! It’s the root of the word, morality. As I recall, the “mores” are the ethical values of a given culture or society. So, if you use the  expression, “moral majority” you are essentially repeating yourself if you are someone within that culture. Morality would be the technical, “scientific”, equivalent of , “politically correct” or “go with the flow” in a sense. One of the defining characteristics of any “culture” is its set of “more’s”. So in order to be a moral in one culture you must always break the rules of morality or more’s of another’s. One culture may see wearing socks as offensive, or a taboo, while another may consider those that don’t wear them as offensive or immoral. So, why does anyone use the phrase, “Moral Majority”? I would think that it reflects a false understanding of the concept unless it truely…
