The latest scoop on important issues in faith and science.

Making a Difference

Somehow we need to show the world that science is the silly human nonesense that it is. This will only happen as we who understand that this is so, speak up. This blog has been my way of doing so for the past 8 years or so. Actually, this blog sort of chronicles my own transition from a strong faith in science along side my Christian faith to a realization of just how much of a problem science really is for humanity. At one time I actually thought that scientists and intellectuals were adamant against Christianity because they were ignorant of the wealth of criticism of Darwin’s theory that is out there from Creationists and other critics of evolution. Now I know the truth about the fact that so many die hard evolutionists know the creationist arguments quite well. Well at least the way they learn about them is often 3rd hand from collegues and the media and book reviews, etc.  Oh, how many times have I heard the lame excuses like, “they also say the earth is 5,000 years old”, or “those people don’t really understand evolution”, and such. I have no idea how old the earth is- and…

Thoughts on the Nye – Ham Evolution Debate

Mr. Nye definitely expressed his huge faith in the institution we call, “science”. One of the main things he harped on over and over was the predictive ability of modern theories from science over the Biblical perspective. The Bible gives a very brief summary of how the God of Heaven went about creating everything at that time which was, “In the beginning”. It gives us the information we need to know and that’s all. All science does is observe the present and extrapolates forwards and backwards basing everthing on what we see happening now. Science predicts that what is happening now will continue in the future. Well at least as far as we have been able to observe and for the past 100 years that thinking seems to have worked for the most part. In the same breath he insists that the universe is many billions of years old and expects us to respect the assertion of his beloved “science” that that 100 years of observed natural processes must be applied to all the rest of that span of time! Ham resisted that notion entirely and reminded the audience that observable processes can only be applied to the here and…

Amazing Creation!

How do you make a code rich in information? Look at the code used for living things. It should be of no surprise that the DNA information storage and retrieval system operates at more than one level. We’ve known for a while that it is encoded to manufacture complex 3 dimensional molecules we call “proteins”. But, it’s been recently discovered that this code also is used to manufacture other sorts things in order to build and run cells. One region of a DNA strand may be encoded with a myriad of instructions and these instructions can overlap each other on the same areas of DNA. This, of course, explodes any notion that the DNA code could have ever been written by random processes, not that there was really any chance of that being possible otherwise anyway. It’s interesting that this discovery has been made at this juncture in the history of mankind. Jesus has made this creation that we are a part of in such a way that we have no excuse whatsoever for ignoring the fact that He engineered everything. During Jesus’ visitation on earth, He was in complete command of nature and was able to overide the natural course…

Passive versus Active Engineering in Living Things

From an engineering standpoint it’s very important to emphasise the advantages of direct engineering over passive engineering. Passive engineering relies exclusively on trial and error. Edison developed the incadescent light bulb in this way. He knew that a metal wire would emit light when enough elecrical current was passed thru it. The problem was to get that light to be emitted  at a temperature sufficiently below the metal’s melting point. And, after a long process of trying all sorts of different metal wires he eventually tried tungsten and got the results he wanted. Passive engineering is slow and inefficient to say the least. If Edison had more complete data on the light emission vs. melting point characteristics of all metals at his disposal, he could have known exactly which one to use and could have actively engineered his light bulb based on that information. He might have realized that plasma based lighting would have been a much better path to pursue had he been privy to plasma physics. When it came time to generate the needed electrical power to light all those bulbs he was making Edison’s passive approach to engineering kept him in the direct current box. Nichola Tesla had…

Where is America in the Bible?

I have heard many people say that America is not mentioned in Biblical prophecy. That seems odd to me since there is clear reference to the US. The Book of Revelations is primarily about the future of the people of God, those that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s about the battle God is waging to save human souls from those that want to destroy human souls. John, the Apostle is entrusted with this information and he faithfully writes it down for our benefit. There is a woman that is clothed with bright light who represents the bride or the Church the body of Christ, believers. After many years of the church being stifled by idolatry and oppressive leaders, the believing body of Christ begins to emerge once again during the protestant reformation and the publication of the scriptures in the native languages for all to read and not just the “clergy” in latin. This takes place in today’s Europe and this is where the woman labors to give birth to a “man child”. That is the believing church wants to obey the Bible and turn to Christ Jesus for salvation instead of going to men that call themselves,…

Does Science Really Have Any Purpose?

The answer to this question is simple really. Science COULD have a purpose and I suppose it DID up until recently, but I don’t see it has having much further use to our Creator. !. It has helped facilitate mass communication which is helpful for Christians to tell others about Jesus and His message of salvation. “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” 2. It has helped us see the wisdom of our Creator in the engineering of His universe and living things, though sadly, not directly declared but instead overtly denied pitting science in direct opposition to it’s own “raison d’etre” that is, reason to be. “The heavens declare the glory of God…” 3. In spite of itself, science has revealed the deep ignorance, blindness and rebellious nature of those in charge and how easily mankind can be duped into believing obsurd and blasphemous things. The Apostle Paul prophesied about science, “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts,…

Darwinism and the Beast

I can’t say for sure that “darwinism” is the beast of the Bible. It sure embodies many of the vile attributes about the beast expressed in it. Darwin, like Satan himself, thought that he could take over God’s creation and make it his own by discrediting the Almighty for its creation and claiming that it created itself  by a complex formulation of spontaneous generation. Spontaneous generation is the notion that living things can arise out of non-living matter on their own somehow. Darwinism is the most hellish permutation of spontaneous generation and the most beguiling one as well considering how many men and women it has lured away from faith in Christ our Savior and the truth about our own creation by Him and for Him. Jesus Christ is Lord forever and Lord of all of His Creation! Blessed is His Name!!! The number of blasphemies that have come out of “science” and men’s mouths and writings cannot be numbered as a result of the state enforced teaching of darwinism in all state-sponsored education in the US, Great Briton and most of the European and Asian continents. The beast in Revelation comes out of the sea which Darwin’s creation story also begins in the…

Looking Through a Glass Darkly

US public tv has been running a series of new shows about the universe. It chronicles the “advances” in our understanding of the universe. The “big bang”, the Hubble Telescope, “dark energy” and “dark matter” and stuff like that. First there was the “red shift” and the “expanding universe”, then there was the “big bang idea”, then the establishment for the “age” of the universe at “13.7 Billion Years” based on the supposed accelleration of objects out there and so forth. They make is sound as if everything has been figured out! The wonderful achievements of man with celebrations and award ceremonies! Now, there are the challenges of “dark energy and dark matter” to tackle. The space telescope has revealed a vast and complex universe most of which is a visual artifact from many millions of years in the past. We have no way of actually telling if any of it is still really there if it’s much further out past our own little galaxy, the “Milky Way”. In fact, we have only just recently managed to send a probe out beyond this tiny solar system. We think we know so much about the universe and yet as this lonely…

Huxley’s Hoax

How did science become an antichristian movement? The story is a complex one and I don’t fully understand it. But, there are a few important key players in it’s fall from integrity and usefulness. As far as the role evolutionism has played, there are 2 key figures. Thomas Huxley was a strong proponent of “secularizing” science and a contemporary of the other, namely Charles Darwin. Huxley got a band of his supporters together and formed the “X-Group”. They would get together every fortnight for dinner at a resturant and discuss how they could eliminate any influence that Christianity might have on the pursuit of science. He hoped that through this activism that he could “free” science to become a more profitable profession and increase their status in the community as the new interpreters of the mysteries of the universe, or as they put it, permit more freedom in the flow of ideas. One source of irritation for them was the so called, “fixity of species” interpretation of the Biblical reference to how living things are to “reproduce after their kind”. Of course, there really is no need to veiw “kind” as a synonym for “species”. (But, as it would turn…

Evolutionism and Antichrist

In the process of keeping a close eye on the developments regarding the push to institute evolutionism as the state religion in the US, it’s becoming more evident that the real driving force behind the movement is a desire within the scientific community to purge itself of inferior (less evolved) men and women. Those that they label as, “antiscience” officially, and many other less kind things more or less off the record. Not only do they wish to purge their own ranks of all Darwin doubters, but also to infect polititians with their ideologies and establish legislative measures that will prevent any dissention in public education. And, then to further help establish the sci-elite and help further man’s “ascent” to greater intellectual height, culling of inferior humanity through “abortion on demond” must be protected at all cost. Of course this is all supposed to be for the “good of humanity”! The Book of Revelations, the last book in the New Testament of the Bible, teaches us about how that in the last days of man’s tenure on this planet, that there will be a last stand where the enemies of God and His Son, Jesus of Nazareth and all those who trust Him…
