Our Mysterious Future

The Mayan people were at one time a great society. At least great in many of the measures we use. They were master stone workers and had a very accurate and complex knowledge of astronomy. So much so that they even knew when our solar system would pass through the mid plane of our galaxy, “the Milky Way”. In their so-called, “long calendar”, this event marked the “end” of the calendar and this has led to lots of speculation as what this “end” means. That date coincides with our calendar year of 2012.

The Mayan civilization as such has disappeared many years ago. So, if the date was to indicate the end of the Mayan nation, the date is off by quite a bit. So, the year 2012 still raises questions. Does it mean anything for mankind as a whole? Why would it be any more accurate about our fate than it was for the Mayans? I will say this though, space is far less understood than the scientific establishment wants us to think. A few years back I was reading about a space probe that was sent out to enter the region beyond our solar system. But, it seems as though the fate of the craft was uncertain due to the fact that we had never sent anything out there before.

We tend to get this naive notion that it’s more of what we got here. That’s the stuff of “Star Wars” and “Star Trek”. We put a lot of confidence in their mathematical calculations and relativity theory and their “Big Bang” creation story. But, in reality, even whats only just outside our solar system is still poorly understood. Maybe the Mayans understood to pass through the center plane of this galaxy is all the more cause for wonder and concern. Just passing across the equator of this planet causes things like vortexes (like the flushing toilet and tornadoes) to reverse the direction of their spin.

Will something major like the reversal of the planet’s magnetic field or redirection of some of the ocean’s currents or meteorological disturbances take place? There’s no way to predict for sure cause humans most likely have never experienced the planet’s passing through the galaxies’ mid plane. Is there a debris field full of objects like asteroids and comets that concentrated there during the creation of the milky way? When viewed from a distance, many galaxies seem to have a greater concentration of objects towards their center plane. Of course, any object coming into our solar system would be captured by the sun’s gravity and start to orbit it just like all the other objects already traveling around the sun.

2012 may come and go and things may go on for us as before. The Creator has given us all the information about the future of this world that we need. European settlers came into the Mayan world and brought many strange ideas and strange diseases along with them and they decimated the Mayans and all but wiped them out. The Mayan prophets had trouble preparing them for the European onslaught. Whatever happens in 2012 will be insignificant compared to our future after we die.

Sooner or later our bodies quit working and then what? That part of our future is entirely in the hands of the Creator. And He has shown us what we must do to be saved. “Save from what?” do you say perhaps? The Bible gives several different pictures of this “what from”. For some it will be, “cast into outer darkness”. Does that refer to being tossed out into space something like the man whom “Hal” in the movie “2001” put adrift into space with a severed oxygen life-linen? Forever adrift in a suffocating vacuum and extreme hot and cold and without contact with another soul forever. Others will be cast “in a lake of fire and brimstone”. Others will be “burned up like chaff” and some will be thrown in the place intended for the devil and his demons, “hell” or will experience the rotting of their bodies for eternity. This is what the Creator wants to save you from.

There is simply no good outcome for those who aren’t saved. God wants better things for each of us! His book also states, “eye has not seen, nor ear heard the things that God has prepared for those that love Him and are the called according to His purpose”. The only way we can be saved is the Creator’s way, “For God loved the world so much, that He send His only begotten Son. So that whosoever believes in Him shouldn’t perish but instead have eternal life.” Hope you’ll choose that path!

Forgone Conclusion

Don’t think it would ever matter. Place as much evidence for the Designer of the universe in front of the “scientific establishment” and it would never make any difference. The Creator Himself could walk up to their faces and tell them Himself and they would just thrust Him away. Why? The SC has written off a Creator, that is a living intelligent one. because He won’t dance to their tune and play their selfish games. He chose to come as a servant and humble himself until death. Cause that’s what true leadership and authority does. He leads by serving, by creating a universe that can sustain us in our feeble humanity and bring us wonder and great joy.

After Jesus restored his life following His execution, He visited a woman that was coming to mourn by His tomb. He didn’t come as some superhero in tights and weightlifter physique. The woman mistook the Creator of the universe for a gardener. But, that is closer to reality then we tend to think. The whole universe was designed to the finest detail as a staging place for the story of humanity to unfold on and for each of us to experience our lives and be a part of His plan.

As is the case with any great artist, He chooses not to blow his own horn. But rather, to allow us to appreciate His tremendous effort and celebrate for Him. Every good farmer, or gardener knows that the ground will not yield without proper preparation. When the earth was first formed, it was not capable of supporting life. There was no soil and no atmosphere to speak of. The Creator tells us that “the earth was without form and void”. Light was still on it’s way from the newly formed stars and galaxies. “darkness was upon the face of the deep”. Perhaps even the light from the our sun had not reached the planet to give it the first “day” and illuminate the planets and the moon. After He created the stars and the planets “for signs and for seasons” that is for us, the “day”, I suppose, was over when their light finally reached the lone planet. Some billions of light years in the distance? Easily, the first days could have represented billions of what we consider years.

Yeah, this is big stuff!!! But as an expert gardener, He knew what humanity would need to survive and thrive. First, the microorganisms were introduced to produce a suitable atmosphere. Algae for oxygen and sufficient nitrogen to make the oxygen more stable. This is well recorded in the so called “pre-Cambrian” strata

There must have been some catastrophy that buried and preserved these first creatures for us to see. The next great catastrophy preserved the first of the more complex multicellular animals and plants that were introduced to begin the transformation of sand and rock and rubble on the earth’s surface into “soil”

A similar process can be seen today on newly formed volcanic islands. The process is referred to as, “ecological succession”. We no longer have the creatures that thrived during the “Cambrian explosion” for the most part. But, there are living today certain plants and animals that can colonize such a desolate place and produce the soil and environment needed to give other creatures a place to live and flourish. They set the stage for others to come and make the island their home.

Each stage of the prepping of the earth was designed to facilitate the next. There was nothing accidental. It was all planned out with careful precision to the very finest detail. For earth to support mankind, the planet needed to be just so. And it was, and the Creator stated that, “Look it is very good!” Was each stage of the process recorded with a geological “snapshot” via a great catastrophe like a flood or tsunami or a meteor impact perhaps? Who knows?

Mankind was introduced only after all the prerequisites had been met. The atmosphere was just right, the soil suitable was in place and ready for cultivation by man. The dinosaurs and extremely dangerous creatures had been laid to rest. The climate had stabilized with adequate temperature range and atmospheric conditions. None of it was done with great fanfare and proclamation, just a short essay penned by a chosen writer years ago documents these fantastic events. Just what you’d expect from the Creator that shows Himself to the world as a carpenter’s son. No big deal, just a humble reference in a shepherd’s book is all we have!

As always, the Creator’s focus is on us and not Himself.

Too bad the “scientific establishment” has made it one of it’s goals to eliminate any vestige of knowledge of this reality from academia and the world. To replace it with fairy tales about a accidentally self-created universe! A saga of spontaneous generation in warp drive. They glibly insist that all of life on this planet came about without any help whatsoever. The tales of miraculous adaptation and design occuring without any sort of designer is applauded by all those among their ranks.

Once again the “scientific establishment” and now even some of those calling themselves “pastors” and “religious” are crucifying the Creator. They have convinced themselves that His record in the Bible is “antiquated and naive”. That they have discovered the real truth about our existence. Everything in “science” is now subject to their “forgone conclusions”.

Sad, but true.
